## **Airdrop Guide**

OTO community members frequently create airdrops:gift:to spread the awesomeness of the project. This guide explains why setting up OTO airdrops is the best way to refer newcomers. Follow this guide to learn how to create and claim airdrops.

### **Airdrop as Referral**

**OTO Airdrop is the best tool for a referrer to bring in referred users.**

With airdrops, there is no need to make sure that a referred user is following the correct referral link or putting in the correct referral address when making the first purchase of OTO. **Instead, when a new user claims your airdrop, the user becomes your referred user forever**:eyes:**.** All you need is the new user’s BSC address. ### **Create an Airdrop**

An airdrop is a good way to refer a new user.

If you have a referrer, visit the [OTO Create Airdrop Page](https://oto.exchange/airdrop-setup) and connect your wallet. You should see your OTO balance.

Provide a list of addresses to receive your airdrops in the text area. Each line can contain one and only one Binance Smart Chain address. Make sure that the address format is correct. Make sure that there is no empty line.

Provide the total amount that you wish to use for the airdrop in the field. This total amount must be less than **95%** of your total OTO balance.

The dApp will generate an estimated preview of the airdrop amount for each recipient. There is a **5.0%** fee on the total amount to create an airdrop (same as a transfer-out of OTO). See [Fee for Airdrops](https://docs.oto.finance/home/guide-3-oto-fees#fee-for-oto-airdrops). Each recipient will receive the rest of the **95%** divided by the total number of recipients.

If everything looks correct, click "Approve Contract First" if this is your first time interacting with the Airdrop Page, then click "Create" and wait the wallet extension to pop up. Click "Confirm" then wait for the successful creation of the airdrop. If the creation is successful, you should see the Airdrop under "[Airdrops Created By You](https://oto.exchange/airdrop-setup)".

### **Claim an Airdrop**

Visit the [OTO Claim Airdrop Page](https://oto.exchange/airdrop-claim) and connect your wallet. If you have claimable airdrops, you should see them as a list.

To claim an airdrop, click “Claim” then "Confirm" in your wallet extension pop up. Then wait for the transaction to complete.

If successful, the OTO balance in your wallet will increase by the airdrop amount. **There is no fee to claim airdrops.**
